This year, The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute’s 50th Anniversary is proud to be celebrating its 50th Anniversary. Among the many celebrations, the school invited Dr. Sergei Tcherkasski from Russia to conduct a two-week long masterclass, culminating in a production of the final act of Chekhov’s The Three Sisters. The small cast was composed of current students, faculty, and alumni, selected via a competitive audition process. The production was featured in Broadway World, which cited the Dr. Tcherkasski’s direction as “extraordinary” and the cast as “marvelous”. As a part of the special occasion, Ana Moioli (Irina) read an excerpt written by Shirley Knight, who originated the role of Irina in the Broadway rendition.
